Jeep Compass 2017 is the most capable off-road SUV in the segment while also delivering best-in-class 4x4 full efficiency. Rated at 22 city mpg and either 30 (automatic) or 31 (manual) mpg on the highway the 4x4 Compass does return impressive fuel mileage (the base Sport model in front-wheel drive manual configuration gets 23/32 mpg). Jeep's "Active Drive" 4x4 drive train uses a rear-axle electronic disconnect system to fully release the rear differential when it's not needed, adding to the Compass' efficiency.
